Shiny ruby red colour. Aromas of red fruits like cherry, strawberry and other forest fruits accompanied by hints of cedar, vanilla and a fine hint of coconut. Modern, pleasant style that balances nicely between fruit and slightly complex notes. The finish enjoys the same qualities and confirms its wonderfully smooth yet noble character.
Grilled red meats like Filet and Tournedos, aged entrecote, veal, pork on the wood grill and fine game.

-
The climate in Rioja Alavesa is influenced by the Atlantic more than in the rest of Rioja. Protection from that same northern influence by the Cantabrian mountains. Combined with high-altitude vineyards, this guarantees short but very hot summers with cooling northern winds and long mild winters with plenty of precipitation.

Young vineyards less than 20 years old consisting mainly of clay and chalk.

The grapes are picked in the cool of the morning. Gentle pressing followed by fermentation under controlled temperature. The wine then matures further for 12 months on a mix of French and American oak.
